Traveler, crafter, and reader-of-multiple-books-at-the-same-time.
For more than 30 years, I’ve helped kids and their grown-ups understand each other better, solve hard problems, and create more connected families.
Here’s what I know for sure: You are the exact parent your child needs.
Even if you’re highly imperfect.
(Join the club)
Even when you mess up.
(You’re in excellent company)
And especially if you feel like you’re parenting without a compass,
a map, or any reliable idea which way is north.
That’s what I’m here for.
During my first year of teaching, there was one child no one seemed able to reach. He was smart, complicated, and exceptionally good at keeping adults at a distance.
I made connecting with him my personal project. Slowly, I chipped away at his prickly exterior by showing him that he could trust me. I paid attention. I stayed curious. I worked to understand what helped him feel safe enough to let me in.
This curiousity would shape the rest of my career.
I've watched the same pattern unfold with thousands of children over the years:
When they feel connected, they communicate more. When they communicate, they feel safer. When they feel safer, they become more regulated (even while doing really hard things). When they feel regulated, safe, understood, and supported, they become brave enough to stretch, learn, and grow.
Family life works the same way.

Parents are trying to raise actual human beings while being bombarded by contradictory advice, other people’s highlight reels, and an alarming number of loud voices insisting there is exactly one right way to do everything.
There isn’t.
Every child is different. Every parent is different. Every family is its own small, complicated ecosystem. What worked beautifully for your neighbor, your mother, or someone with excellent lighting on Instagram may be spectacularly unhelpful in your house.
My job isn’t to hand you a generic list of parenting rules or tell you what your family is supposed to look like. It’s to help you tune out the noise, reconnect with your own internal compass, and figure out what actually works for the real people living under your roof.
I approach my clients with the humility of someone who has been in the trenches and who truly gets it. I’m a parent, too. I know what it’s like to love your children beyond reason and still have absolutely no idea what to do next.
I’ve reacted instead of responded. I’ve tried strategies that sounded brilliant and accomplished precisely nothing. I’ve also been talked at by experts who were certain they knew my family better than I did.
That’s not how I operate.
My superpower: Deconstructing complex concepts, from behavioral therapy to neuroscience, and translating them into practical strategies without stripping away their substance.
My goal: To cut through all the noise about what’s supposed to work and help you figure out what actually does.
Together, we look at what’s happening, why it might be happening, and what you can do next.
